Mods and Minis Event Brings Hundreds to Tutbury

Tutbury High Street was packed over the summer as the Mods and Minis event returned with great success, supported by a £350 grant from Tutbury Parish Council.

The event saw 111 Minis and over 400 scooters, attracting visitors from near and far, including Leicester, Nottingham, Skegness, North Yorkshire, Crewe, Stoke, Ashby, and even a couple who travelled from Dublin just to enjoy the day.

Every pub, café, and bar was full of customers, with The Leopard reporting such a busy weekend that they had to close on Monday to restock! Locals and visitors enjoyed dancing in the street and even in the bus stop, creating a wonderful atmosphere of community spirit and celebration.

The organiser commented:

“It was perfect. The aim is always to showcase our beautiful village and support local businesses.”

Tutbury Parish Council is proud to support events like this that bring people together and boost our local economy.
