🚑❤️ Thank You, Simon! ❤️🚑

Published: June 30, 2026

A huge thank you to our fantastic Community First Responder, Simon Anderson, for delivering such an engaging, informative and practical CPR, Defibrillator and Choking Awareness Training session for Tutbury Parish Council on 29th June.

We were delighted to welcome 34 participants, making this one of our best-supported community training events. Everyone left feeling more confident that, if faced with an emergency, they could help make a life-saving difference and feel more confident using one of Tutbury’s public defibrillators.

📍 Tutbury’s five publicly accessible defibrillators are located at:
❤️ D & J Patel Stores, Ferrers Avenue
❤️ Tutbury Club
❤️ Cross Keys
❤️ Leopard Inn
❤️ Fauld Industrial Estate

The Parish Council is also pleased to confirm that plans are now underway to remove the old cabinet at Park Lane Stores, which no longer houses a defibrillator, and replace it with a new solar and wind defibrillator cabinet in anew location on Park Lane, helping to further improve access to this vital lifesaving equipment for our community.

Thank you once again to Simon for sharing his expertise, and to everyone who attended and took the time to learn these invaluable skills. We hope you never need to use them, but your willingness to learn could one day help save a life. 💙
