Parish Council Improvement Works – Track Upgrade Completed
Tutbury Parish Council is pleased to announce the successful completion of improvement works to the track leading to the playing fields — a route maintained by the Parish Council for the benefit of residents and visitors to the site.
This upgrade forms part of the Parish Council’s long-term commitment to improving community facilities in Tutbury.
The works were made possible after the Parish Council successfully secured grant funding through the Ward Enhancement Programme, which is part of the Government’s Levelling Up initiative. The funding was made available via East Staffordshire Borough Council, and Tutbury Parish Council was delighted to secure a share of this investment specifically for the village.
The track has now been upgraded with a new tarmac surface, greatly improving access for all residents — particularly those using the newly installed pedestrian gate to access the playing fields.
Tutbury Parish Council would like to thank the local contractor for carrying out the works efficiently and to a high standard. The Parish Council would also like to acknowledge the support of Tutbury Tigers Football Club who backed the project and will benefit from the improved access for their teams, players, and supporters.
This project represents the next step in a series of planned improvements to facilities managed by the Parish Council. We remain committed to seeking further funding opportunities and working in partnership with local community groups to deliver future enhancements for the benefit of all residents.
Tutbury Parish Council will continue to keep residents informed of progress on future projects and opportunities to get involved.
