๐Ÿš‘ Tutbury Parish Council: Defibrillators & Community Safety Update ๐Ÿ’›

Tutbury Parish Council is responsible for maintaining the defibrillators in our community. Hereโ€™s what you need to know:

โš ๏ธ In an Emergency โ€“ What to Do First

The most important thing when a defibrillator is needed is to:

1๏ธโƒฃ Call 999 immediately โ€“ The ambulance service will provide the code to unlock the nearest defibrillator cabinet.
2๏ธโƒฃ Stay with the patient โ€“ Someone must remain to administer CPR.
3๏ธโƒฃ Retrieve the defibrillator โ€“ If possible, another person should collect the defibrillator while CPR continues.
4๏ธโƒฃ Follow the instructions โ€“ Defibrillators are easy to use and give clear voice prompts.

๐Ÿšจ The ambulance service is regularly updated on which defibrillators are in service, so always call them first.

๐Ÿ“ Current Working Defibrillators in Tutbury:

โœ… Tutbury Club (High Street, on the side of the building)
โœ… Patel Store (Ferrers Avenue)
โœ… The Leopard Inn (Monk Street)
โœ… The Cross Keys (Burton Road)

โš ๏ธ Temporary Units in Place
While the original units are being serviced, fully operational temporary defibrillators have been installed in these locations.

๐ŸŒ Additional Defibrillators Nearby:
๐Ÿ”น Hatton Co-op
๐Ÿ”น Tutbury Tigers (Cornmill Lane)

Coming Soon Fauld Industrial estate

๐Ÿ”‹ Why Electricity is Important

Electricity is required to keep defibrillators at a constant temperature, protecting both the device and the pads. Due to a lack of power, the Park Lane Store defibrillator has been removed. The Parish Council is actively looking for an alternative location that can provide electricity for the cabinet and bleed kit.

๐Ÿ“… Annual Parish Meeting โ€“ Learn More!

Tutbury Parish Council invites residents to learn more about defibrillators, bleed kits, and the vital role of first responder plays at our Annual Parish Meeting:

๐Ÿ“ Tutbury Village Hall
๐Ÿ“… May 12th
๐Ÿ•ข 7:30 PM

A local first responder will be attending to talk about defibrillator use, first aid, and their voluntary role in our community. Come along to find out more!

๐Ÿ’› Please share this post to help spread awareness and keep our village safe!
